French 1st empire and Napoleonic era officer’s pistol converted from flintlock to percussion with barrel showing makers stamp in form of fleur-de-lis. The pistol measures 14” overall with 7 ¼” barrel of approximately .69 calibersmoothbore. The pistol is stocked in dark colored wood extending to the muzzle. The wrist is coarsely checkered with typical empire style square butt. The mounts are lightly engraved with urns and florals. The metal surfaces show a brownpatina finish with some traces of blue on the barrel and some scattered light to moderate erosion and pinprick pitting. The stock shows a darkened finish with some small losses and just normal aging but remains in good to very goodoverall condition. The action works well and a brass tip ramrod with worm is included which may be the original. The pistol would date 1800 to about 1815 and converted 1830s to 40s. Est.: $600-$1200
