French 18th century hunting style sword with silver mounts and fluted bone grip and original scabbard. The sword measures 29-1/2” overall with a 24-1/2” blade. The blade is in very good condition showing a lightpolish. The cross guard shows figures of serpents with scales. The pommel cap shows a floral design which is matching to the mounts on the scabbard. The bone grip is carved in circular pattern and in good condition withyellowish patina and minor cracks. The leather scabbard has broken but three (3) piece mounts are retained and the leather can be reinforced and restored. The mounts are sharp. Est.; $2,000-$4,000
