French 1850 Naval sword and scabbard, approx. 33-1/2” overall with a 28” blade. The sword is in overall very good condition with a bright blade, sharp markings on both sides of the blade (in French); the guard is very good with wire wrapped marine ivory grip, the pommel cap nut appears to be a replacement; the leather scabbard is in overall good condition with metal throat, tip and mid piece all matching and both hanger rings present; the leather is good + with some flaking; a good looking early French Naval piece.
