This is a stunning example of a mid-century modernist Italian glass bowl. The "tutti fruti" design is attributed to Dino Martens of A.V.E.M. in the 1940s. This piece is attrubited to Vittorio Ferro and was probably made at Vetreria Fratelli Toso during the 1950s. It is blown dark green glass that was layered with pieces of canes of multi-colored glass and a layer of silver adventurine foil. It was ultimately cased in clear glass. This piece has an opalescent flower in the center.
