King of Prussia (born 1712) from 1740 until his death in 1786. His political prowess and enlightened attitudes toward religion, learning, and the humanities earned him the sobriquet ‘Frederick the Great.’ LS in German, one page, 8.25 x 13.5, November 3, 1751. Untranslated cabinet order to the War and Domain Chamber of the electorate of the Mark of Brandenburg, concerning a request of the clothier Christian Andreas Richter. Prominently signed in the center by Frederick the Great and endorsed by several other officials. Light creases, foxing, and soiling, otherwise fine condition.
