His political prowess and enlightened attitudes toward religion, learning, and the humanities earned him the sobriquet ‘Frederick the Great.’ Manuscript DS, in French, signed “Frederic,” one page, 6.5 x 3.25, May 13, 1747. Untranslated document neatly signed at the conclusion by Frederick. Double suede matted and framed to an overall size of 11.5 x 14.5. In fine condition, with a vertical fold and a bit of scattered light toning.
