Brewer (1836–1904) who founded the company which, in the 1890s, introduced the ‘Blue Ribbon’ brand, the ‘beer that made Milwaukee famous.’ Partly-printed DS, signed “Fred Pabst,” one page, 10 x 7, May 20, 1873. Stock certificate for one share of Philip Best Brewing Company stock issued to Frederick Pabst. Signed on the front by Emil Schandein as president of the company and Charles Best, Jr., as secretary, and signed on the reverse by Pabst to confirm the certificate’s cancellation. In fine condition, with various cancellation stamps and notations.
