Brewer (1836–1904) who founded the company which, in the 1890s, introduced the ‘Blue Ribbon’ brand, the ‘beer that made Milwaukee famous.’ Twice-signed attractive partly-printed DS, signed “Fred Pabst,” one page both sides, 10 x 7, April 30, 1884. Stock certificate for seven shares of Philip Best Brewing Company stock issued to Henry Best. Signed on the front by Pabst as the company’s president, and also signed on the reverse, “Fred Pabst, Atty in fact for Henry Best.” In fine condition, with two light vertical folds, one through a single letter of signature.
