<B>Frederick II, Duke of Anhalt, Document Signed,</B></I> four integral pages written on page one, 9" x 13.75", Dessau, February 20, 1911, in German. It is a bestowal document for the Duchy of Anhalt's Order of Merit for Science and Art (<I>Verdienstorden fur Wissenschaft und Kunst</B></I>). Boldly signed with the embossed seal of Anhalt. General toning and folds, else very good. During his reign Frederick was known for his love of music and maintained a court theatre which became celebrated throughout Europe.
