Letter signed &#40;&#34;Frederick / Commander in Chief&#34;&#41;, 1p, 8¾ x 7 in., Horse Guards, 1 July 1815. Invoking the name of the Prince Regent and His Majesty &#40;George III&#41;; Frederick notifies Captain Dixon that he is receiving a medal struck in commemoration of the British victory at the Battle of Detroit. Matted with an image and framed to 12 x 15 in. Fine.
