Freddy Krueger's Sweater from Nightmare On Elm Street 5
A magnificently displayed piece of Hollywood history! One of the most beloved in the horror-thriller movie series is “Nightmare On Elm Street”, begun in 1984 with a very young Johnny Depp, the theme of Freddy Krueger (Robert Englund) invading people’s dreams and thus controlling them spawned countless other movies in the same genre . In fact, in 2010, the producers basically started all over again, even recasting Freddy with Jackie Earle Haley with a brand new “Nightmare on Elm Street”. In the fifth installment “Nightmare On Elm Street: The Dream Child”, Alice (Lisa Wilcox) and Dan (Danny Hassel) are feeling a great sense of relief. It’s been a year since they’ve been invaded by Freddy and begin to feel as if what has happened before was indeed just a nightmare that has passed. However, of course, that’s not the case. “Dream Child” is one of the more disturbing of the series, since it has themes of innocents and rebirth. In this story, Alice is pregnant with Dan’s child, but quickly it appears that this “blessed event” is not one of rejoicing especially as Freddy begins to attack both Alice’s friends, and her own unborn child. However in the end Freddy is defeated when he is forced to revert back to an infant allowing Alice to absorb him. Besides Englund’s amazing nightmare inducing face, we all remember him for his hat, and black and red stripped sweater. Offered here is his screen used hero sweater. What makes this even more valuable is the way it is displayed: in a massive frame with professional labeling and screen shots from the movie. This is a true museum quality piece of memorabilia. Comes with a Letter of Providence and a Certificate of Authenticity. (Sweater measures approx 24x22, frame is approx 33X26) Comes with a Letter of Providence.
