Fred T. Baker signed double-barreled Damascus steel shotgun marked 21 Cockspur Street and Fleet Street, London. With side release lever and profusely banknote scroll engraved action with side locks and right side release lever, serial number 4850. The trigger guard is dated in Roman numerals MDCCCLXXXII (1882). The gun remains in good to very good original condition showing a light gray patina finish with traces of original finishon barrel’s with most of the light Damascus pattern showing. The action has gone to a natural gray color with good sharp metal surfaces and of distinct engraving. The stocks show some light refinishing and somewear to the checkering. The gun shows 2 ¾ inch chambers and is choked .20 for improved cylinder on right barrel and .12 for improved cylinder left barell. The wall thickness is .24 left and .27 right. The stock measures 14 ¼ inch to the end of the thick horn butt plate and 14 inches to the end of the wood. The gun shows automatic ejectors and locks tight. There is a 2 ½ inch drop of the heel and 1 ¾ inch drop of the comb with no cast.
