Location:6270 Este Ave., Cincinnati, Ohio, 45232, United States
circa 1900, silver gelatin in convex oval gesso frame; with Chicago Portrait Gallery stamp on verso, image 19.5" x 13.25"; frame 24.5" x 18.5".

Fred Miller, a clerk for the Bureau of Indian Affairs, was known as the photographer of the Crows and worked documenting their reservation life from 1898 to 1912. The Chicago Portrait Gallery, a division of Chicago Albumen Works, has been the curator of the Fred Miller collection since 1989, and presumably sold this image.

Condition: Print laid down on heavy board, two repaired tears in print. Minor loss to gesso on frame.
