Appealing color first edition Apollo 13 Lunar Orbit Chart for revolutions 1, 19, 40, and 46, measuring 41 x 12, dated March 5, 1970, signed in the lower border in felt tip, "Fred Haise, Apollo 13 LMP," and above the planned Fra Mauro landing site, "No LM touchdown, but no LM impact either! Freddo." The chart shows the planned orbital paths for the Apollo 13 CSM 'Odyssey' in addition to the intended landing site of the LM 'Aquarius.' Although the explosion in the Service Module canceled their plans for a lunar landing, the adept response by the crew and ground support ensured that they avoided any uncontrolled impact with the moon. Lithographed by ACIC 3-70, and prepared under the direction of the Department of Defense by the Aeronautical Chart and Information Center. Matted and framed under UV-protective acrylic to an overall size of 48 x 19. In fine condition, with the upper Haise signature slightly faded.
