Hungarian Romantic era composer and pianist (1811–1886) whose prowess at the keyboard earned him a cachet as perhaps the greatest virtuoso in the history of the instrument. Distinguished 2.5 x 4 carte-de-visite by Fritz Luckhardt, nicely signed “F. Liszt” in ink below the image. Light scuffs to the image and various notations and stamps on the reverse, otherwise fine condition. An exceptional pose. Provenance: The Barry Hoffman Collection.
