TLS and TNS as New York governor, signed "FDR" and "Franklin D. Roosevelt," both one page, 8 x 10.5, State of New York, Executive Chamber letterhead. The TLS, dated October 3, 1931, a typed memorandum written from Warm Springs for Colonel Greene, in full: “Your letter of September 29th with inclosure of memorandum from Mr. Haugaard has been received. I think your suggestion is all right. I shall be glad to serve as the fourth member of the Board of Award"; and the TNS, from July 7, 1932, addressed to Dinah S. Slater, in full: "Thank you for your very nice letter. I assure you that I appreciate it." In overall very good to fine condition, with multiple horizontal folds and two partial punch holes to the 1931 memorandum, and some faint toning to the 1932 letter.
