Partly-printed DS as president, one page, 20 x 15, March 27, 1943. President Roosevelt appoints Hugh B. Cox “of the District of Columbia…an Assistant Attorney General.” Neatly signed at the conclusion by Roosevelt and countersigned by Attorney General Francis Biddle. Dampstaining to the borders (heaviest to the upper right), and light scattered creases and wrinkles, otherwise fine condition. Attractive gold foil seal affixed to the right side is embossed in deep relief and remains fully intact. Accompanied by a full letter of authenticity from JSA.
