Vintage matte-finish 10.5 x 9 Harris and Ewing photo of Roosevelt at work at his desk, signed and inscribed in the lower border in fountain pen “For Gene Buck from his friend, Franklin D. Roosevelt.” Framed to an overall size of 12 x 10.25. In fine condition, with scattered silvering to darker areas of image and background, two trivial tears to bottom edge, and a uniform shade of toning to borders. Buck was a Broadway producer and the longtime president of ASCAP from 1924-1941.
