<B>Franklin D. Roosevelt Typed Letter Signed.</B></I> One page, 7" x 9", White House letterhead, February 5, 1942, Washington, D.C., to Mr. L. Etienne O'Brien, Cranford, New Jersey. A personal letter written to a former colleague only two months after Pearl Harbor. It reads in full: "My dear Mr. O'Brien: Many thanks for your fine birthday greetings and for that snapshot. I remember well the miniature sailboat challenge. it was kind indeed of you to send the game for the children at Warm Springs. They will greatly enjoy it. Very sincerely yours". Complete with original stamped White House cover. Moderate aging and light stains. Very good condition.
