Document on ''State of New York / Executive Chamber / Albany'' letterhead reads in part, ''Memo for Carp: Will you see Mr. Hardy about this? I suppose it would be best to extend part of the note but on the other hand I think we should insist on a fairly generous payment...How did you like my prohibition statement?'' Signed ''FDR'' in black ink. Measures 8'' x 9'' on one page with minor toning, else near fine.
