Frank Skinner Universal Contract Extension.
Frank Skinner Universal Contract Extension. Frank Skinner composed music forever linked with Universal films of the Golden Age, especially the horror classics. This two-page typed document, in which Universal Pictures Company, Inc. extends Skinner's original March 3, 1937 contract, is dated December 2, 1938 - just before Skinner composed his milestone score for the studio's Son of Frankenstein. Skinner had signed the agreement in full in black ink, as have Universal Vice-President Cliff Work and Assistant Secretary Edward Muhl. The signed agreement also features the Universal Pictures company, Inc. stamped seal. Skinner was composer of such all-time Universal hits as Destry Rides Again (1939), Arabian Nights (1942), Harvey (1950), and Shenandoah (1965), as well as (of course!) Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein ( 1948), eventually contributing to over 500 films. This is an outstanding artifact representing a great talent and his studio. Excellent condition. Accompanied by LOA from PSA/DNA.

Shipping: Flat Material, Small (view shipping information)
