1965 Newport Jazz Festival poster, 13.75 x 21.75, featuring Frank Sinatra. Sinatra was at the top of his game in '65 with September of My Years winning the Grammy for 'Album of the Year' and a television special, “Frank Sinatra: A Man and His Music,” earning him an Emmy. Sinatra, with accompaniment by the Count Basie Band, joined jazz greats Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Duke Ellington, Thelonious Monk, Buddy Rich, Dizzy Gillespie, Art Blakey, and many others for the 1965 edition of the Newport Jazz Festival. A historic, rarely seen poster! In very good condition, with scattered light creasing, surface impressions, and rubbing.
