Frank Miller and Klaus Janson - Original Art for Daredevil #167, pages 2 and 3, (Marvel, 1980). From the ground-breaking Frank Miller era of the Daredevil saga, comes this two-page spread from Daredevil #167, cover-dated November 1980. In this issue, written by David Michelinie, Daredevil battles an old man denied a pension by his cruel employer, ending in the old man's death and Daredevil punching the employer. These pages were pencilled by legendary writer/artist Frank Miller and inked by Klaus Janson, an inspiring combination that perfectly suited the series. Overall page size is 16" x 21.5" with an image area of 15" x 21.5". The piece is in great shape, with just a slight aging apparent and some slight staining along the center line between the two pages. You'll also find notes written along the left and bottom edges which indicate how the story is to progress. It's an interesting addition that gives some insight into the mechanics behind these pages. Brilliant work from a phenomenal series. Important notice: We expect to be auctioning lots at the rate of 200-250 per hour.
