Hand-drawn designs of the "House for Mr. and Mrs. Duey E. Wright" executed under Wright's oversight at his studio, consisting of two pages for “Plot Plan & Planting” and “General Plan,” 43 x 29.5 and 45 x 29.5, with the inside of the hand-drawn red 'Taliesen' box at the bottom of the latter signed in pencil by Frank Lloyd Wright, "FLLW, May 57." Identified as “Sheet 1A” (Scale 1/16˝ – 1´ – 0˝), the “Plot Plan & Planting” sheet shows a detailed overview of the house, property, and surrounding landscape; the left side features “Planting Area ‘A,’ listing various shrubs, pines, and plants, with a nearby marsh and slough; “Planting Area ‘B’” lines the upper border, with the house and lawns below meticulously arranged with various trees such as elm, hemlock, hickory, pine, birch, butternut, oak, and maple.

The “General Plan” sheet, identified as “Sheet No. 3” (Scale 1/4˝ – 1˝ – 0´, Unit – 4´ – 0˝ x 4´ – 0˝), displays the full Duey House layout, with sections marked as “Workspace,” “Living Room,” “Entry,” “Library,” “Bath #1,” “Carport,” “Gallery,” and bedrooms 1 through 4. The right side features a legend for “Electrical Symbols,” as well as a “General Description.” Both interior and exterior are likewise intricately mapped with sundry furnishings, accessories, and planting and seating areas. Rolled and in overall fine condition, with unobtrusive creasing and edgewear; the “General Plan” bears inoffensive and scattered light stains.

Designed in the 'Usonian' style by Frank Lloyd Wright in 1957, the Duey and Julia Wright House was constructed on a bluff above the Wisconsin River in Wausau, Wisconsin, in 1958. Viewed from the sky, the house resembles a musical note—an ode to the client's ownership of a local music store. A highly desirable two-sheet plan from Wright's esteemed Taliesin studio.
