Renowned college football coach (1908–1973) who, after serving as an assistant at Georgetown, Michigan State, and Fordham, became head coach at Boston College. In 1941, he became head coach and athletic director at Notre Dame, his alma mater. In his 13 years at Notre Dame, Leahy’s teams won 107 games, lost 13, and tied 9. Vintage glossy 8 x 10 photo, signed and inscribed in fountain pen “To my Pals Bob Martin and his charming Helen. Best wishes to two people who have made Denver’s hospitality famous from coast to coast, Frank Leahy.” In very good condition, with scattered creasing and surface marks, mild edge rippling, and a small area of surface loss and toning to top edge.
