Hargis is a maker of high quality hand crafted knives and is based out of Flora, Illinois and was a member of the Knifemaker's Guild. The knife shows a excellent mirror finished double edged steel spear point style knife blade with full tang construction. The knife shows a decorated metal guard and pommel with scrimshawed bone and horn grip with metal accents. The grip shows a piece of buffalo or other dark horn with ivory to each side and at the center of the horn. The pieces show a scrimshawed pattern of thin branches with leaves. The blade is marked "Frank L. Hargis Handmade Knives Flora, Illinois" with some decorative etchings giving it a medallion look. This knife shows very good condition with some very minor wear on the grip. The knife measures 12 3/4" long with a 8" long blade.
