<B>Frank Godwin - Rusty Riley Sunday Comic Strip Original Art, dated 4-24-55 (King Features, 1955).</B></I> Starting in 1948, King Features distributed <I>Rusty Riley</B></I>, the story of an orphaned runaway boy, his dog, and the wealthy patron who befriended him. The strip's artist, Frank Godwin, was one of the last survivors of that turn-of-the-century breed of artists who could perform miracles with ink drawing. This Sunday is a fine example of Godwin's skill as a cartoonist. The strip has an approximate image area of 23" x 16".
