Spalding Official National League baseball has been hand-signed in blue ink pen by Frank Frisch (D. 1973, St. Louis Cardinals, HOF) and Carl Hubbell (D. 1988, New York Giants, HOF). This auction includes a Steiner display case with a wood base and glass cube.

Frank Frisch was a second baseman for the ages. The Former New York Giants star came up in 1919 and had an immediate impact without ever playing a game in the minor leagues. Frisch was considered by many to be an excellent hitter and base runner as he led the NL in steals in 1921 hits in 1923 and runs in 1924. Frisch had a lifetime batting average of .316 with 2880 hits 105 HR and 1244 RBI over an 18 year career. Frisch was a 3x All-Star 4x World Series champion and won the NL MVP Award in 1931. Frisch was inducted into the Baseball Hall Of Fame in 1947. Hubbell played his entire career with the New York Giants, winning NL MVP twice and a World Series in 1933. He was on the Giants payroll until his death, as he was the director of player development for 35 years and a scout for the last ten years of his life. Hubbell did all this while never moving with the team to San Francisco, as he remained on the East Coast after retiring.
