<B>Frank Frazetta - "New World" Preliminary Cover Illustration Original Art (circa 1972).</B></I> This gem-like preliminary was done in preparation for the cover art to the Science Fiction Book Club's <B>Year's Best Science Fiction, 1972</B></I>. The final oil painting can be seen in the introduction to <B>Testament: The Life and Art of Frank Frazetta</B></I> and on the cover of the <B>1980 Frazetta Calendar </B></I>(according to the Frazetta Art Gallery website, the final painting belongs to "Star Wars" director George Lucas). Painted with watercolor on paper, this piece has an image area of 3.5" x 4", and it's been professionally framed (by museum framers who do work for the National Gallery London) to an overall size of 11" x 11.5".
