Franco Sortini (b. 1958), „El Prado“, Madrid, Spain, 2005
This color photograph originates from the Italian artist Franco Sortini (b. 1958) from the year 2005. In the foreground is a couple in full sharpness sitting on a wooden visitor bench at the El Prado museum in Madrid. They are looking at Old Master paintings, which are hanging entirely blurred in the background on the wall. The focus of the photographer is clearly placed on the depicted people in the foreground and not on the paintings of the museum. The mounting on Alu-Dibond with an approximately 5 mm thick Perspex pane enforces the contours and emphasizes the heights and depths of the photograph very well.

The print is mounted on Alu-Dibond and in front with a Perspex panel. On the reverse is an aluminum frame for hanging the work. Verso is a studio badge with information about the artist, the edition number and signature. In addition the work is also signed, dated, titled, numbered and with the copyright in black permanent marker ‘Franco Sortini 2008 ‘EL PRADO‘ 5/15 ©’ on the backside. The work is in very good condition with hardly any traces of wear, the corners are minimally nudged. The dimensions are 69.4 x 122.5 cm.
