<B>Francis Scott Key Autograph Letter Signed</B></I> "<I>F.S. Key</B></I>". Three pages with integral address leaf, 8" x 13", Annapolis, Maryland, March 9, 1798. Written to friend and fellow law student John L. Kerr, later a prominent U.S. Senator. Lengthy and delightful content about their mutual love lives, practical joking, etc. He writes: "<I>…I have you know, been violently in love for a longtime, but one Olivia shall not satisfy me, I have generally kept up the same number, about a dozen.</B></I>" Other charming content included, typifying the carefree life of a young student in those days. Fine condition; several old tape reinforcements; small hole on the last page; usual folds present; moderate edge wear and foxing.
