Three ALSs, ranging in date from 1822 to 1904. One from Samuel Fessenden, one-page, in part, “The pleasure of your company is a strange inducement. ‘There can be no fun till I get there’ as the fellow said who was going to the gallows.”; one from William Pitt Fessenden on a lightly-lined page; and one from Francis Fessenden, introducing his cousin to US Representative Amos L. Allen. In overall very good condition. Accompanied by a handwritten document signed by Cyrus Hamlin, father of Vice President Hannibal Hamlin, admitting Samuel Fessenden to the bar.
