<B>Francis R. Lubbock Autograph Document Signed</B></I> 11 pages, recto only, 7.75" x 12.5", Harris County, Texas, November 27, 1845. Penned and signed by Lubbock acting as Clerk of Court, this file copy details the case of John S. Black vs. William I. Jones in a dispute over a $600 debt. Light browning, uneven right edges, minor stains. Very good condition. Francis Lubbock (1815-1905) was a key figure in 19th century Texas. Arriving from South Carolina in 1836, Lubbock went on to become the first Confederate governor of Texas.
