Professional golfer (1893–1967) who at the 1913 US Open at the Country Club changed the perceptions of an entire sport with a stunning triumph. He was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame in 1974. Vintage matte-finish 7.5 x 9.5 photo, signed and inscribed in green ink “With every good wish to Jim Wiggins. Francis Ouimet.” Stamped on the reverse with a Wide World Photos credit. In fine condition, with scattered creases and a circular impression at the bottom of the photo.
