In Fine condition; tipped to a larger sheet. With a handsome steel engraving of the General. Here the brilliant partisan, still campaigning against the British despite Cornwallis' surrender -- the fighting wouldn't cease in South Carolina until the British evacuated Charlestown in December 1782 -- certifies a receipt for provisions for his Dragoons. In part: "<I>This is to certify that Mr. William Richardson furnished at his plantation for the use of a party of Dragoons... forty bushels of potatoes, three thousand twenty-four sheaves of rice, and seventy one bushels of corn.</B></I>" A rare and desirable autograph.
