A limited edition signed and numbered cast pewter sculpture titled "Cracker Box Meeting" by Francis J. Barnum, ca. 1999. The sculpture depicts the strategy meeting between General Robert E. Lee and General Thomas "Stonewall" Jackson on the evening of May 3, 1863 prior to the Battle of Chancellorsville. Lee is shown sitting on a cracker box listening to Jackson outline his plan for moving his troops silently around the much larger Union army to attack its vulnerable flank. During the battle the next day, Jackson would receive the wound that would ultimately cost him his life. It is on a hardwood base with a pewter title plate. The piece is artist signed and numbered 27 of 500 issues. It stands 9 inches tall and the base measures 12 1/2 inches long and 9 1/2 inches wide. Shipping quoted upon sale.
