<B>Francis Dana, Signer of the Articles of Confederation, Government Bond Twice Signed</B></I> "<I>Francis Dana</B></I>". Signed on the verso of a printed United States Loan Office document, 9.25" x 5.75", Boston, February 25, 1791, bond has cancellation hole about 1" in diameter not affecting Dana's signature, else about fine. Francis Dana (1743-1811) served as a delegate to the Continental Congress from 1777 to 1178. He was a signer of the Articles of Confederation. Dana left the Continental Congress to accompany John Adams to Paris.
