She retired from films in 1942 and spent a large part of the remainder of her life in mental institutions, dying of cancer at 57. Vintage ink signature, “Frances Farmer,” on an off-white 5 x 3 trimmed album page with a small clipped photo affixed to lower right corner. Page is affixed to an identical size card. In fine condition.
