Made by Bussoz Constructor Bre S. G. D. G., 27 Rue Condorcet, Paris. Teleph. 1e Ligne 22808 or 2e Ligne 15671. It measures 18” wide, 27” in height, and 8” in depth. Beautifully and ornately carved in wood on the top above the door is a headboard with a horseshoe flanked on either side by horse heads. The wooden case is keyed for front opening. At the top above the racecourse are 3 cast coin slot openings that accept a modern 1 franc coin or an original 25 franc piece. On a cast plate are Rouge Dandolo, Blanc Vasistas, and Noir Negofol. Behind the glass front, is an intricate, colorted detailed interior racecourse featuring the three previously named horses racing against each other. Also hand painted inside the glass are a race horse and jockey on one side while the following instructions in French are opposite: Meltez une piece de25¢francaise sur chaque cheval choisi. Laissez aux pieces de descendre et trounex ensuite le bouton en faisant le va-et-vient. Si l’um des chevauz choisis s’arrete le plus pres du Poteau, vous gagnerez un jeton de 50 ou de 75 cent.
