France. Lot of 9 pcs. Includes 1/2 ecu's 1726-1731. These are the only coins of this type recovered in this portion of the recovery work in 2002. The following dates are fair to visible, 1726A, 1726C, 1726D(2), 1729V, 1729-9 and 1731O. The 1729V is an unlisted date in the Krause. All are quite worn and show various degrees of see corrosion. A must see. Sold as is. VG to Fine<BR><BR>Each individual coin and/or lot will show the gradefollowed by a letter ranking (a), (b) and (c). The letter (a) will indicate that the salt water has had some minor affect on the coins and its patina is not unattractive. The letter (b) will indicate that the coinsshow some form of sea immersion affects in that the patina may show slightly more corrosion, however the coin remains aesthetically pleasing. The letter (c) will indicate sea immersion affects more severe than the (b) type described above, but all the dates and details will be there and visible. Extensively damaged or worn coins will be described and priced as such.<BR><BR>Notice. For all winners of lots pertaining to the Auguste Shipwreck, please be advised that due to Canadian Laws in reference to the Exportation of Archeological and Shipwreck finds, a request for permission to export these items must to be filled and sent into Canadian Customs for approval for every lot won and shipped outside Canada. In most cases this will cause a delay of 10 to 20 business days for all shipment of lots once payment received. We have been in discussion with Canada Customs and anticipate no problems.
