Fabric is from the wing of German Fokker D-7 aircraft flown by 27 victory ace Kurt Wusthoff. Wusthoff was shot down in aerial combat on 17 June 1918 by Lt. Southy of 24 Squadron, British Royal Flying Corps. Wusthoff was captured and became a prisoner of war. The fabric measures 4" long by 3-1/2" wide at its widest point. It is displayed in a matted frame that provides the combat history of the fabric. The frame measures 16" wide by 20" long. The fabric comes with a letter of authentication. The fabric and display are in sound condition.
