Framed Pair of 1860 Harper's Weekly Magazines. Harper's Weekly: A Journal of Civilization. (New York: Harper Brothers, November 3, 1860), Volume IV, Number 201, 15 pages (689-704), elephant folio (11.25" x 15.75"). This edition is mostly concerned with the U.S. tour of the Prince of Wales. The cover page of the December 15, 1860 edition of Frank Leslie's Illustrated Newspaper is pasted down along back cover spine. The cover of this magazine depicts Mary Todd Lincoln and her two sons. As a whole, this volume shows brown staining throughout, and some chipping along the spine, but is otherwise very good.
Harper's Weekly: A Journal of Civilization. (New York: Harper Brothers, November 10, 1860), Volume IV, Number 202, 15 pages (705-720), elephant folio (11.25" x 15.75"). This edition of the long-running American political magazine depicts President-Elect Abraham Lincoln on its cover, and includes an artist's rendering of election night, where gentlemen in top hats watch election returns in the misty, gaslit streets of New York City. Condition is very good, with slight soiling to the front and back covers, and a few minor tears along the edges. A very attractive lot of consecutive editions of Harper's Weekly, including good Lincoln content.

Shipping: Framed - with Glass, Medium (view shipping information)
