Hand colored engraving of wreckers on the coast while sailors on boats at sea. The sun is seen peeking through the mist of an early morning scene. Stunning composition of workers at sea. Housed in gilt frame. Turner ( 1775-1851) was an English Romantic painter and printmaker. He was known for his imaginative landscapes and marine paintings. His imagination was sparked by shipwrecks and fires. He experimented greatly and his work continues to be sought after today. Sight size: 7.5"H x 10"W.
