<B>Framed Display of 27 NASA and Space Exploration Souvenir Patches.</B></I> Framed to an overall size of 25" x 19", and beautifully displayed under glass on orange cloth. The idea of unique mission patches was introduced by Gordon Cooper and, since Gemini 5, there has been a unique patch designed for each and every U.S. space mission. More than a few mission-specific insignia are represented here, including Mercury 4, Mercury 9, one Gemini patch, three Apollo mission patches, and two patches representing Christa McAuliffe and the doomed 10th Challenger mission. The collection also includes various agency patches as well, including NASA, the European Space Agency, United States Space Command, Shuttle Carriers of America, Naval Space Command, the Department of Defense's Strategic Defense Initiative, and the Kennedy Space Center. Interestingly, there are five souvenir <I>Star Trek</B></I>-related patches mixed in as well.
