It is absolutely amazing that this tiny, delicate little jewel could survive totally untouched and brilliant, but this example has. Regarded as a Rarity-5, with fewer than 60 known, certainly, this precious piece is a likely candidate for the finest known BG-714 and the so-called "Broad Head" type.. Breen-Gillio reports this fractional gold quarter to be a product of Frontier & Co., operated in San Francisco. Partners were Pierre Frontier, Augustus Bellemere and Henry Pohlman.
