Fr. UNL Hessler X106M $3000 Loan of 1842 Coupon
Fr. UNL Hessler X106M $3000 Loan of 1842 Coupon Bond Proof Choice Crisp Uncirculated. The Loan of 1842 saw the first coupon bonds issued by the United States. Hessler does not give a rarity rating for any of the 1842 coupon bonds due to their extreme rarity. This bond is assumed to be a coupon bond because of the proof $90 coupon sheet that is attached to the back of the Hessler X106H that is in this auction. This $3000 proof bond is also mounted on light card stock. It has written upside-down along the bottom margin, "This has been altered from the one at page 28." This example has sound edges and bright paper. A $5000 registry stub is glued to the back while the back has also picked up a transference impression from a Hessler X106H that is also in this auction.

Coin Engraver: probably Joseph Wright

Shipping: Coins & Currency (view shipping information)
