Fr. TN-6 Hessler X74C $100 Act of March 4, 1814 T
Fr. TN-6 Hessler X74C $100 Act of March 4, 1814 Treasury Note Extremely Fine. This plate letter C remainder is signed by Saml. Clarke and Edward Fox, lacking only the Commissioner of Loans signature. A lateral center fold, a lateral fold with two tines a little below the upper edge, and a vertical fold are noticed. The bottom half of the note shows light foxing, and the upper margin is mostly along the frame line, with the lower right-hand corner tip outside the frame line missing. Also, a couple of spots of trivial ink erosion are observed, but the emphasis of this note is its extreme rarity, with only three listed by the leading collectors and researchers in this field. You too can add your name to the Boyd, Ford, O'Neal provenance of this note that this auction now provides.
