Fr. TN-10 Hessler X85 $100 Act of February 24, 18
Fr. TN-10 Hessler X85 $100 Act of February 24, 1815 Treasury Note Extremely Fine, repair and PC. A total of only four proofs are known for this design, with three of those proofs contained on one uncut sheet sold at the Memphis 2000 Sale. This single proof dates back to F.C.C. Boyd, and hence to John J. Ford. It is printed on card stock with nine small punch cancels along the three signature lines. A few areas are lightly inked, while a small repair is found at top center. The handling on this proof is located within an inch or so of the top edge. Another rare note from the War of 1812 era that would be a delight for the connoisseur of such items.
