<B>Fr. 952b $20 1914 Red Seal Federal Reserve Note PMG Extremely Fine 40.</B></I> An excessively rare note with only three pieces known, none of which has been seen by the grading services prior to Tom's magnificent note's having been submitted. One of the three known notes has been reported by serial number only, and not seen by anyone in this generation of dealers and collectors. The second note was the Jim Thompson specimen, also graded XF, which Stack's sold in March of 1991. Tom acquired this piece in a small 1982 auction sale, and it has been off the market for the last 26 years. The note is a beauty, with pure white paper, a brilliant overprint, broad even margins and super eye appeal. PMG seems right on the money with the grade, as this gem appearing note has two light folds. Only when spectacular collections like Jim Thompson's or Tom Flynn's cross the market do notes of this caliber become available. It could be decades before another collector has the opportunity to acquire a Fr. 952b. <BR><I>From The Thomas M.
