<B>Fr. 787 $5 1918 Federal Reserve Bank Note PMG Gem Uncirculated 65 EPQ.</B></I> Forty-four examples of this number are known, only four of which are reported as uncirculated. To date, the highest certified note to sell had been a PMG 55 which we sold in September of 2007. This 65 "Exceptional Paper Quality," note also bears the comment, "ex-Grinnell." It was Lot 4649 from Barney Bluestone's June 29, 1946 sale. This cataloger missed that sale, as he was preoccupied with learning how to walk. The note is gorgeous, and without a doubt it would have graded Superb with just a touch more top face margin.<BR><I>From The Thomas M.
